Dom those players at least had league form to fall back on and that's what most important, not how you play in a few games after a long season. with these turkish boys, they don't have league form to fall back on. so how do you judge them? wishcasting?
Meatwad
I have no idea how good they are since I don’t watch Serie A or La Liga any more, but both are only 21 and at the start of their careers. Scouts will likely be more interested in their club performances than how well they're playing for an international minnow like Turkey.
Must admit I’m not fully sold on Bouaddi
Meatwad both players were hyped up when young. People clong onto that potential even as its not coming to fruition. Same goes with people wishlisting Xavi Simons last year.
HomeSteak first time I seen that guy Max was roasting him at U18s. TBF he was the only one on the other side who looked a real player.
Dom True, wouldn't be the first player who didn't perform for their national team. You also come across those who become alive at these tournaments and then don't shit at club level!
At that age you look more at what a player could become rather than what they are.
JazzG You also come across those who become alive at these tournaments and then don't shit at club level!
El Hadji Diouf enters the conversation. 😃
USArsenal El Hadji Diouf enters the conversation.
Had multiple of my Man United supporting friends claiming he was better than Thierry off the back of WC 2002 😂
Guess it was all they could cling to knowing that van Nistelrooy was definitely not as good as Thierry.
Sicario2
Like he wouldn't be given a healthy salary from Arsenal if we signed him? Lol. Sporting ambition, if he has it, would lead him to Arsenal if we're truly in for him. Would be make a few million quid more with Chelsea? Yeah, probably, but he'll certainly have more of a chance of winning big trophies with Arsenal. (Ahhhhhh feels good to say that and be telling the truth again)
Sicario2 by this point, any player who goes to Chelsea is clearly mentally ill. Wouldn't want to touch someone who would even consider such a move.
Sicario2 Villa forum itks as reliable as indykaila claim he's coming to us for £115m...make of that what you will.
Claudius Because they are desperate and apart from higher wages nothing else they can offe r
One of the most reliable Chelsea ITK has been banging on about this for weeks now, Chelsea want him but he only wants Arsenal.
Seems like bs considering the wage caps chelsea keep with those long contracts
Just get Rogers, Barcola, Scott and a right sided Hincapie equivalent in.
Ship Trossard, Jesus, Vieira, Norgaard and maybe White
USArsenal also it's indykaila. 😉
Panda that’s a bit excessive. He’s not worth more than £85-90m tops.
Panda Villa forum itks as reliable as indykail
So not at all reliable then 😉. Not to be transfer rumour police but Indykaila is houseboat at best.
Sicario2 I don't think he'll cost £115m but of the players being talked about for big money moves this summer he should easily clear Anderson and Tonali.
Don Pacifico Indeed 😂 they'd be happy with 115 we'd be happy with 80 tells me it'll get done around 95-100m. If I was indykaila that's what I'd be posting ahem.
Trash source.
Why would Chelsea suddenly start paying better wages than us? They’re a finishing school for promising young men
There seems to be a sudden surge of high quality #8 MFs this summer and young ones at that - mostly U23. Maybe it’s just the media I don’t know. At the same time, we seem to have a lack of elite forwards so seem to be trying to buy the few overpriced ones there are. Would we be better off trying to go back to a 4-3-3 and releasing Saka and Martinelli a little defensively so as to maximise their output and balance attack v defense in that manner? Or can a 4-3-3 never work without an elite pivot like Busquets / Rodri / Fabinho which we neither have nor works in the PL context? We seem to be going towards a 4-2-3-1 with the Zubi acquisition - perhaps triggered by the alarming frequency with which we lost to the high press before last season. I don’t have a definitive view but thinking about it.
