Sicario2 Ode, Martinelli and Trossard out would be a very bold step, probably a much needed step but I can't see us doing all of that in one summer.

Don Pacifico I’ve been hoping for this for years. I’ve always said he is far closer to Bernardo than he is KDB. I think we move him further back this year to support buildup more without needing as much end product and see how it works. If it doesn’t, I’d expect us to move him on but not this summer. I hope we don’t move too many players other than Jesus, Norgaard, Martinelli and/or Trossard (as long as we replace them). We will need a big squad to deal with post WC fitness for a good portion of the fall. If we need to trim the squad further we can always do it in January and next summer.

Dream ins: Yildiz, Tzolis, Rogers, Bouaddi
More realistic ins: Barcola, Tzolis, Rogers, Kone
Outs: Jesus, Norgaard, Martinelli, Trossard

Tactics

What is the rationale for selling Trossard? He won't fetch much and is on relatively low wages. He was still our best option on the left last season despite being inconsistent. I'd bring in a top class left winger and have Trossard as a back up option. New signing might not hit the ground running, so Tros could be a useful insurance

Tactics I also think we should keep one of Trossard or Martinelli if possible. Get in a new guy but have that known quantity to fall back on if need be. 2 new left wingers in one go worries me. Give one of them another year, probably Tross and let him go on a free then as there seems to be no real sign of a new deal for Martinelli and he's more of an asset in the market.

If we were to get another 6/8 would leave us with - Rice, Zubi, MLS, (new 6/8), Merino, Eze, Odegaard, Norgaard, Nwaneri

You'd expect Norgaard to be sold and Nwaneri hopefully to be loaned to a PL team. I hope 1 in Europe as more likely to get minutes.

I'd want to loan him because you'd think there'd be spaces opening up in midfield for him next season with Ode and Merino being options to leave then.

If we don't get a midfielder in I would keep him and sell Norgaard.

Bouaddi was incredibly impressive today. To show the composure he does as an 18 year old on the biggest stage playing with a team who he just started playing with after switching national teams? Crazy. We should be all over him.

£60m is a good deal compared to the PL prices. Only problem is Arteta won't be playing Bouaddi/MLS midfields apart from early cup rounds. But Rice and Zubi clearly need rotating so he could go Rice-MLS + Bouaddi-Zubi.

Fernandes being the 1 we are linked with is only 21 so maybe he won't be too bothered about a Bouaddi/MLS pairing.

Either way he needs to stop playing Rice and Zubi so much. Especially after a World Cup year.

Impressed with Bouaddi. Not with his engine like others. It’s a small detail. But he can quickly trap with one foot and pass with the other. And does it from right to left or left to right. And turns quickly. If you want to beat a press, this guy will be money

Claudius a bit. Geundouzi was pretty all action on his day and covered a lot of ground. The problem with Douzi is he never really developed beyond that raw teenage stage.
