I personally don't think any of those players would move the needle much for us.
Bastoni plays in such a weird system at Inter - I have never thought it would translate that well to the EPL unless you play in a 3 at the back system but even then, he has so much space to exploit in Serie A that he won't have here. I also don't see the point in going for a high priced CB/LB hybrid when we have Gabriel, Calafiori and Hincapie already.
Goretzka looks like he is a shadow of the player he once was. Maybe at a steep discount in terms of wages I would consider him as an experienced backup to Rice but that's what we have Merino for and he is a far superior player at this point.
Barcola is always intriguing but he is really not a good finisher whatsoever. I am also not convinced he would be an effective player in the EPL facing all of the dirty low and mid blocks. Look at where he thrives at PSG - it's all transition and balls in behind the defense. I feel like he would get exposed pretty quickly if he came here and it would have to be for a big price tag which would put even more pressure on him.
Malulu is intriguing - I'd be interested but still think we have better prospects on the wing in Dowman and Nwaneri.
