USArsenal My gut feeling is the opposite. I think there would have been more movement by now if we were going to get it done, but there's just... nothing. Silence from all the big accounts like Ornstein and no commitment from Alvarez who only seems to want Barca.
My feeling is that we're being used as a pawn by Atletico because we're the only realistic option if they want to avoid selling to a direct rival, but Alvarez has shown no interest in coming to Arsenal. Gut says he'll end up at Barca, if not now then certainly next summer.
