Meatwad yeah, completely passed me by. Never heard of him, which doesn't mean he's no good but normally I've got at least some awareness of the talents coming through.

Gordon is not the 4th best left winger.
Diaz should be #3 on that list. Doku and Raphinha are better than Gordon.
But part of the issue is a spill-over from CF issue. The best LW is Mbappe. And Dembele and Doué would also both be high on the list is played there more.

You have to admire in a very scummy manner the way Barca target the players they want . First they tap up the player , then they put it out there the fee they want to pay , then they use the full force of their media cronies to make it happen. Or not , if youre dealing with Atletico Madrid

GooneriC It's really despicable. They did the same thing with Nico Williams last summer. The problem is that the football masses eat it up and then take it as fact. All last summer we were talking about how Nico and Lamine were best friends and how they only would play with each other... Really hope more clubs take the stand that Atletico has and push back on the propaganda army that is Barca.

GooneriC They completely charm the player, get him fully onboard and then get him to switch on the club so they can drive the price down.

Then on top the Barca fans are criticising Atletico for how they are treating him. These same Barca fans who happily lead witch hunts against their own players when they want them out. If Alvarez flopped there they'd chase him out of the club.
