Gurgen Play him on the left with Calafiori overlapping and Havertz central, or play him in the centre with Tzolis on the left and Calafiori cutting in. Seems to me we've been looking for a less predictable forward who can roam and threaten on the left all summer, and Alvarez can do it. He's relatively two-footed and no less a winger than, say, Trossard, and his work rate is not a problem.
If we had an infinite squad and money it would be nice to have Martinelli as an option, but we don't. We'll suffer a bit in various ways if Gabi clears out, starting with less width. But we'll benefit more than suffer if we do it right.
