More than anything I think we’re looking for certain traits and the ability to hurt the best teams. Rogers has immense ball carrying ability and possesses a good long range shot.

Bruno brings a goal threat but more importantly the ability to feed other attackers. Something we lack

We are already crowing about Tzolis technical level and output

Sicario2 He is a good player but his last season record does not justify a £100m fee imo. Though I think his CL record was pretty decent from what I remember

Some of you seem to have missed the point a bit. Alvarez has explicitly briefed he doesn't want to leave Spain again, and he will cost Rogers money if he does move in Spain. You might as well be talking about signing Andy Cole from another timeline.

Burnwinter yeah I think that aspect should be a totally not worth it.

The other point in sticking to valuation is that we don't seem to always do it. When we were linked to Madueke and Chelsea desperately needed to sell but said we won't except less then this we paid it and didn't try to push them lower or say no thanks. If the argument is well that's what Arsenal valued him at them I think we have shit valuation processes. Similar arsecast this week said Brugge had said from the outset they wouldn't sell Tzolis for less then a club record and we don't seem to have bothered to push back on that.

I think Endrick and probably one of Camavinga/Tchouameniwill leave R.Madrid. Endrick is someone we should be following very closely

Endrick is 20 years old and scored five goals in Ligue 1 last season. He barely did better during his loan than Nwaneri did. There's a reason he's probably getting sold. We can't get involved for the kind of money Real would ask for.

8 goals and 8 assists in 21 games for Lyon while on a 6 month loan in new league. This guy has incredible potential, you simply have to be in the conversation for players like him.

JazzG When you're a title winning team you need to be in the conversation for guys who are elite, not ones who have an off chance of being elite in five years time. Endrick is a RB Leipzig signing, not an Arsenal target.

Burnwinter @Tactics I think the #1 target idea is throwing fans off. I believe we viewed “Morgan Rogers at 80m” as great value and our #1 target. However, I think “Morgan Rogers at 100m plus” dilutes his value and caused us real hesitation. Increase that to 117m and I could see why we said thanks but no thanks, we can likely do better at that amount and moved on.

Klaus No sorry I don't believe that, you need to be in the conversation for both. If you can't find a player who is elite then you need to find an elite talent. This is what we should be doing here.

Also kind of what we are doing with Bruno, we are in for him or for Alex Scott.

Not when the talent costs the same as established players. That's how you get roped into wasting your money in a game you'll never be able to compete with City, PSG and Real Madrid at anyway.

We could waste all our money on Endrick and Rogers this summer and then finish 4th, and be left with an increasing number of problems to solve next summer. Fortunately we have smarter people running the club nowadays.

It's the exact opposite of what we're doing with Bruno, who's one of the top 5-6 Premier League midfielders right here and now.

Even if we retain our current squad we won't finish 4th so not sure how adding Endrick and Rogers could take us down to fourth.

No what I am saying is we are targetting the right profiles, either top quality established players or top quality prospects
