I think White may be moved on this summer with an eye of keeping the squad fresh and motivated. He’s a Phase 4.5 player. He’ll have market value and we need space to accommodate Jez Jacquet.

Will need to keep an eye on home grown quota though

I'd like to see MLS, White, Nwaneri and Martinelli start this 1 but maybe only MLS will come in as Cala doesn't play 3 games a week.

I think Arteta will look to rotate for the midweek Brentford at home game in between Chelsea and Villa away.

As long as we don't lose this I'll be happy.

Panda Mosquera too, tbf. Our second choice backline is probably amongst the best first choice backlines in Europe on paper, but they haven't played much together.

I reckon Arteta's going to play the same team, except maybe MLS for Calafiori and Martinelli(if he's fit enough to start) for Trossard.

Hopefully we're able to sub-off the likes of Zubimendi, Rice and Timber at the 70th minute mark. Saka will probably be lucky to get subbed off in the 95th minute, if at all.

Is there a chance of Odegaard and Gyökeres returning for this? Would be nice to give them a little run-out before the Chelsea game.

est Assuming you're right, White, MLS and Martinelli are all easily dropped in and we don't lose much quality. Can't see how any of Timber, Trossard/Eze, or Cal should be on the pitch.

hopefully dowman is with the u19s in preparation for their home game against bayern and not hurt. he needs to get some game time and playing against peers closer to his age and actually dominating them would be a good sign.

I think that probably confirms that the "minor relapse" that Nagelsmann talked about for Havertz was whatever happened to him after the Man U game and isn't some new thing that happened.

I mean Havertz is closer to Merino stylistically than he is to Gyok. Either way our results haven't suffered with Merino really.

it was kinda obvious that's what you meant. i'm saying we didn't fall off a cliff by playing merino. we performed better than normal ... i guess that's climbing the cliff?

in fact we would have been better off playing merino even if viktor was healthy because the spurs cbs would have ate up his runs into the channels. a false 9 dropping into midfield had their 3 central defenders wondering who to mark.
