They're worse away, but not doing well home either (well, they're doing really well on actual goals conceded, but their xG against being high suggests it's either their GK being good or opponents bad finishing that's the reason rather than a good defence).

Burnley has played at home one less time than some of the teams doing worse than them, so if you look at xG against per home game only West Ham and Nottingham Forest are worse in the league.

We can't be using the fact that they didn't play in mid-week as an excuse, depth is what we added to the squad this summer.

Trossard from start again might be the one questionable decision. Would have preferred both Eze and Nwaneri to start a game like this where we're gonna try to break them down for 90 minutes.

Also notable that our only attacking options on the bench are two teens today. So much for Slot moaning about Liverpool's lack of seasoned squad depth. Youth has nothing to do with it: it's their own fault they haven't got better players.

Nwaneri and Merino can both come in up front if/when needed. Amazing that we can be missing Kai, Odegaard, Martinelli, Madueke and Jesus and still put out this team. Seasons past, we'd be completely sunk missing all those players.

down to barebones in attack. no injection of pace available if we need it to go at a tired defense. can't really afford another injury in attack, next man up is hairyman.
