If I were Danny I'd take the possibility of winning the league and/or Champions League over the distant possibility of being England's last spare in a tournament. Nothing to say both can't happen either. He's been getting plenty of playing time for the last 6 years and he hasn't found goalscoring form like this before.
The issue is that "all our attackers" basically means Kai, because there's no way Jesus is ever going to start an important game for us again. So under the absolute best of circumstances we have two strikers available (more like 1 Ā½ really) before we have to tuck into midfielders, and one of them has basically been out a year. It amazes me that people think that's enough for a season where we're probably going to get deep into the league race and at least two cups.
