We could have did what Pool did who bought Ekitike to prevent that very scenario and still went for Isak. I'm not saying we should have bought Gyokeres and Isak but where there are limitations for us, there aren't any for our rivals.

Excellent the Guéhi to Liverpool move has fallen through. That was worrying me more than Isak in some ways. Between Parish and Glasner Palace have been doing us favours all summer.

Neither is Isak..very good player, but nowhere near worth 130 mill.

I don't really worry about Liverpool at all. They have looked shit in their first three (four including palace). Wirtz is for example significantly worse than Ødegaard, and Salah looks done. Unless we have a lot of injuries, which isn't looking too god now tbh, we'l win the league.

Yeah, i get that Isak is a nice signing for them, and they still have Salah (who will be missing for a month at AFCON), and Ekitike looks like a handy player. Wirtz is a wildcard because he's looked pretty lightweight thus far. But you think those forwards are head and shoulders above Gyokeres, Saka and Eze?

On paper Ekitike, Isak, Salah is enviable.

Eze, Gyökeres, Saka is as well but it's highly dependent on Saka and Ødegaard being fit. Liverpool were too happy to defend narrowly against us.

Saka being injured is shite, we'll have to wrap him up and make sure he's heavily rotated with Madueke when he's back.
