I can't pinpoint anything specific, but I certainly think the talk around him this summer exceeded what I'd expect (and I think he'll do a good job for us).

I honestly can't find the clip, but i remember even saying it in the match thread at the time (although i thought it was Mosquera). I wish i could find a fill replay of the game to search for it to see who it really was.

Edit.... I just found the replay on Paramount+.... The play was in the 84th minute and AC broke after one of our corners... And it was Mosquera who sprinted back to block off the breaking winger.

Ah, that's what I thought, well not that tracking back because it was on our right defensive area and was clearly a black guy who tracked back.

I thought there may have been something I'd missed towards the end of the game. But I can't remember Hincapie doing anything that made me think wow (speed, technique, strength or otherwise). Though from his highlight reel from Germany he is very fast tbh, so wasn't completely untrue by Dules.

Re Eze it's clear he's still playing well within himself. But he's gaining in confidence as well as familiarity with his new teammates and the system requirements. He is going to be very good once he settles in in the next couple of weeks.

I think he's just feeling his way into the team. He needs to figure out how to best help us (be it on the left, more centrally or whatever). But it will be difficult for him to do that without having the whole team available. Right now, we're sticking him where we need him, so he has to adjust his role each time.

Beautiful performance, and I love how he keeps attacking centrally. No interest in going wide - and it led to plenty of chances. Unlucky not to score and assist one.
