Not sure what to expect from him in terms of output (goals and assists). I typically would want to have a conservative quantitative estimate. But we have a huge squad, and who knows how many games he will play and where? Also he's coming from a less ball dominant side, where he was the fulcrum of their attack, to a team where Odegaard dictates the tempo in our attacking third.

Is 10 g/ 15a a lot to hope for?

I don't know either - but beyond pure stats, I want to see goals coming from interventions he make, that we simply would have not have got last season. In other words, turning some of those draws we got last year into wins.

He had no one to combine with when he moved inside with the ball. Got to get players around him for triangles and one twos.

first CL game ever. it would've been quite a Llearning experience for him, having built all his playing habits domestically.

there was an interesting moment when he drifted infield into his favoured pocket of space, and arteta yelled at him to get back to the sideline and hold width to create space for calafiori to invert. felt like a microcosm of controlball in action there. "oy, creative midfielder, get out of the bloody way! youre stopping our fullback from being creative!"

Rohit I don't see why Cala can't overlap when Eze comes in ☹️ I'm hoping he told him to come wide because he moved into same space Zubi was occupying. We can't keep him on the touchline. It's a waste.

Just for context he still has more assists/goals than Noni, I'm sure he'll come good as he gets used to the way we play.

Eze needed to stay wide in the buildup then cos Ricky was there. Had Eze been in the middle then Ricky would've been the one asked to go wide, or Rice. Basically, someone always needs to be there to give width. Also Eze is very good on the wings during buildup.
