So berta then-
Zubimendi - Deal was mostly done by the time he came, Paid a bit more than release clause to get flexibility in payments - Convincing was already done by arteta so Berta didn't do much here
Hincapie - Good deal to get loan with obligation given the high net spend last season
Madueke - Overpayed for a player who's mediocre and hardly improved since he came to england, Even with the 20% inflation from last year in 2026, 50m today also would be a poor deal. Equally to blame talent ID arteta who wanted him.
Eze - Basically stumped up the same fee which spurs had agreed to with palace, he had a release clause too and arteta convinced him + he was a gooner, so nothing much of note here
Mosquera - By all accounts his signing, good value deal for a player whose price has trebled from the 12-13m.
Gyokeres - Berta drove this particular deal, Haggled and got a good fee of 54m initial price considering the interest, jury out on the player atm.
Kepa - Crap player, had a 5m clause at chelsea, driven by Inaki Cana....nothing much done here. Clanger once every 2 games at the minimum is a norm for him.
Norgaard - Considering he was available on a free till March, April - We paid 10m rising to 12m and then got 7m back so pretty much ok, by all accounts it was arteta wanting him as a squad player and then not rating him once he came in.
Konsa - Pretty much paid close to what Villa's ask was, 51m is a bit excessive but a good player to get for now. Not really negotiated a good fee though so to say.
Guimaraes - Credit due here while price was on the higher side, getting him when Tonali, Gordon etc. left
Tzolis - Paid what bruges wanted and found by scouting team.
Doesn't seem overall a good negotiator, the ones he's identified himself (Gyo, Mosquera) not a clear success so far
this summer's lack of signings offensively could cost him his job IMO, considering he's overall not done much
