USArsenal Yeah true but there's always going to be someone making a mistake somewhere. I reckon he makes that mistake because he's not ready for the pass being hit. That ball would have gone to Merino instead for a slow buildup in 99% of the cases (you can see him trailing behind Eze in the clip). One of the things I love with Calafiori is that he's looking for the quick option where we can put a runner on the ball facing the right way.

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert it’s (or under Nuno, it was) their style. They don’t really press high, they sit back and go for the counter attack. The right back fucked up and wasn’t tight enough to Eze and also wasn’t deep enough, so Cala took advantage. Good to know we have that long pass in our repertoire and will exploit it consistently.

We handled him pretty well overall that night, but he was certainly more impressive against our centre backs than any other centre forward has been in recent times.

Hope that top speed comes back soon.

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert I think there is a fair argument to be made against the absolute top CBs he will struggle. But there is another argument that if he tears shit up against lesser teams who cares because we have enough big game players for the big games.

I happened to be in Lisbon, went for this. We were really slick today. Odegaard is a joy to watch live. Saka is a force of nature. Sporting were well below our level and we didn't need to raise the tempo at all.

Gykores is a handful, was isolated up top against 2 of the best CBs in the world but kept working them all game and even then he never looks in control while running. Tough game for him but he's always moving. There's a lot to work with. He will do well at a top team with quality behind him.

I am so glad to have him with us. Much more from him to come. Sporting were set up to get the best out of him. We aren't and won't be either. However, just reading about him may be he has the fire to adjust and adapt.

I love that he wants to shoot for tough angles, I've felt its something we've lacked in recent seasons. We want optimal chances all the time but he's go for any chance.

JazzG you're right in that his main value may lie in beating up on the little guys, but I still feel he'll bag a healthy number against the biggest teams as well.

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert I hope so as well but I think big strong CBs will be able to physical match/overpower him which will make it harder for him to dominate. Like I said he needs to be kill it in the other games, those games is where the Title is won or lost.
