Gazza M Romano saying the same thing about the medical being greenlighted: Gyökeres expected in London this afternoon.
Hopefully we see him feature off the bench against Spurs in HK.
Klaus so what did Messi do last season that has him so high up? And why is Gabriel not on it? And as much fun as Yamal is having him top of the list is also nonsense. And Lautaro 15th, fuck off.
Qwiss Yeah I'm not saying it's flawless, and I do think Yamal is a bit of a hype fraud too currently - basically the equivalent of an English paper putting Cole Palmer at the top. I'm just saying it's seasonal, so if a player is spending four months out it will affect the ranking.
Klaus Gabriel didn't get injured until April and he's not there. Shows they either don't have a proper assessment of the PL or that they are deliberately being weird about it, likely the latter option.
that list is hilarious they have huijsen higher than saliba and i don't even see gabriel. if we signed him he wouldn't even start here, his two-footedness would have allowed him to get a lot of games as both could be replaced by him, but no one would be saying "oh that's Arsenal's new starting CB". that shit is biased towards la liga and then the mediterranean.
Really hope he can get the "he scores when he wants..." chant going again at the Emirates and away. Been a while. His name sits pretty well with it too.
So he is going to make his debut away at OT against his former manager wearing the number 14 shirt on Thierry Henry’s bday?
‘No one cares who I was until I put on the mask’
Scriptwriters dream. Peter Drury is going to have a field day.
Sicario2 -- seen lots of HandofArsenal tweets over the last few months. Seems to have a read on the club and transfers.
But to claim seeing a player in tears would suggest they're physically present (in) the club. No way someone would jeopardize their employment for some internet clout?
Sicario2 50-50 chance this is because he doesn’t have to go back to Sporting after calling their chairman a cunt
Hope this fella chills out at some stage, we're going to need those emotional resources for some actual football at some point.
Yeah, true. On the other hand, having someone up top who is clearly desperate to bust a gut for us could lead to some very good things indeed. It sounds like he'd run over his own grandmother to score goals for us, I think that's incredibly admirable.
RocktheCasbah He'd run her over for a key pass against Barnet. For an actual Premier League goal he'd bury her in a shallow grave and salt the earth so nothing will ever grow on top of it.
My grandparents are all dead these days, so it's open season if need be.
😂
This guy feels like the surest thing since Auba and Sanchez. He's going to hit the back of the net with such precision.
Maybe. I'm still advocating a bit of caution. It all depends on how he's deployed. He's got weaknesses, but if we can maximize his strengths we are going to be incredibly difficult to play against this season
flobaba It really helps that we have Havertz who is good at a lot of the things that he struggles with. And it will be easier for him to play at that super-intensity if he doesn't have to play so many minutes, and can focus on being a madman in the box.
Didn't he also split with his girlfriend over this move? Broke up, gave up money because all he wanted was Arsenal and his current club wouldn't let go while Arsenal wouldn't t pay. Very little to not like no matter how he starts on the field. Couldn't be a better start off it.
MistaT Probably just a story Berta himself relayed to some employees, saying the family were emotional over getting the call or something, and then five degrees of Kevin Bacon down the line where The Hand is getting his information it has turned into Gyökeres's grandma openly weeping and his dad needing bypass surgery so his heart can cope with all the love etc.
