Going back to Gyokeres I’ve just watched this vid of all his goals whilst he was at Coventry. Love how he latches on to things. Zubimendi will feast.

Although perhaps not the fastest, he’s plenty fast enough with a great combination of speed and physical power

lorddulaarsenal if you watch the videos of him vs Everton they double mark him all the time. Can't do that and double up on Saka without leaving yourself exposed everywhere else. Then watch him vs City where they didn't double mark him and he tore them apart.

Ray had no problem against Akanji, Gvardiol, etc either.

The (etc.) is a kinda important omission because it's Rico Lewis at RB and Pusey-Simpson at RCB.

Don Pacifico he still had battles with Akanji that he won. We are talking about his pyshical capacity here. Also Rico-Lewis is a regular player for City and would start for most PL clubs. Simpson-Pusey fair enough but that's just one of the back 4. Its still a better back line than most of the PL can put together.

Declan is in 20th place and Saka in 37th. Saliba 44th. Didn't spot any other Arsenal players.

It's a good list at any rate. I would personally have put Nuno Mendes first and Dembele second.

Sicario2 seems more skewed to Barca, Vini and Bellingham particularly low, but its a nonsense list in general and very heavily biased towards La Liga. Haaland, Saka, etc are way to low. Lack of PL defenders is absolute nonsense. Huijsen as the 2nd best PL defender is based on his transfer this summer and nothing else. If a PL club had signed him he wouldn't be on that list. Flekken as the only PL keeper, again just because moved. And then all the guys who are in retirement leagues but have to be included because they were good in La Liga 10 year ago. Its a nonsense list.

It's specifically for the 24/25 season though. I'd say Saka is ranked unexpectedly high considering how much of it he missed. Haaland was out quite a bit too.

The one from Serie A that is definitely too high is Martinez who had his worst season since he was a teenager. He has no business being in the top 50.
