tazmania His lack of foot speed versus Ake was a worry a couple of times. We knew Premier League defenders would be far faster than Portugal, but we do need Gyökeres to be able to get on the break and finish if he's going to fulfil his expected function.

Guy is basic AF... Technique was obvious after watch him for 5 seconds even though some thought it won't matter somehow.... but even his movement has been lackluster and I don't get how someone so jacked can get pushed around so easy.. hopefully we will see big improvements in those area but ngl, looking fwd to Kai's return. Nelli at CFanyone?

Not writing him off just yet and I thought he did some things well today but there are some concerns there for sure. Definitely still able to be effective for us even if the flaws can't change. We will see.

Doesn't seem half as strong as he should be considering his size though. It's strange.

Lukazan I thought he looked physically strong today. shrugged his marker and laid it off more than once. the worry is we're not doing anything with him in transitions. we're playing the exact same way as last season

I think he looks totally fine relative to the standards of what a backup should be for us which was basically my expectation for him from the start. Was getting a 27 year old backup level player at this position really a big need? I guess that's the question. It's good "depth", though.

Gazza M the worry is we're not doing anything with him in transitions.

We keep playing balls to him into space and he keeps getting beaten to the ball by the centerbacks. Despite his big glamor muscles, he's not really a notably powerful athlete relative to the standards of the Premier League.

Worked hard, led the press well, never let up. Wasn't exactly given much to work with today so I'm not sure what the moaning is about.

I love his hustle. Right to end he was pressing and fighting. Had on ok game. Obviously forwards need output so can't call it a great performance but certainly wasn't bad.

3 goals in his first 5 league games is decent. People are acting like hasn't scored at all.

DiabyKungFu think he’s getting used to the physicality of the PL. Too early to call it a flop but not an instant success. Some encouraging signs and some concerns. The next games against weaker opposition with a more settled team will tell us a lot more.

DiabyKungFu Yeah, in the Prem I think the closer he is to goal the better. He does make really good darting runs, and shorter movements mitigate his lack of physical superiority.

I'd be ok with this.. Generally speaking, thats what we need to collect max points against the lesser teams. Once Havertz is back, we will be able to have alternatives up top specific to teams/games.

He's scored 3 in 6 competitive games and he hasn't even settled properly. Were people really expecting Haaland?
