There's nothing more dishonest than pointing to his PL record in the build up to a CL game (as TNT did) and fans are doing in the aftermath of the game.

It was a CL game and he has scored in the CL FFS.

Just seen his shot at the end.....To be fair though looks like it might have taken a bobble just before he hit it but fucking hell looked wild. He is usually a clean striker of the ball though.

It's tragic.

But it's not a one off. It's endemic to the entire squad. Madueke, Gyökeres, Jesus, Havertz, Odegaard- all absolutely useless finishers. Martinelli and Saka are hit and miss. Trossard and Merino are the only semi-reliable players we have when it comes to the final pass/shot.

And that's not even getting into the decision making, which can be even worse than our final ball.

As we see, they do quite a bit of finishing practice in training, but whatever they're doing seems not to help under match conditions.

Qwiss Eze had 6 key passes, most in the team and Noni had zero.

Madueke had 5 shots and Eze had 2. Madueke had 0.8 xG+xA and Eze had 0.37. It's much of a muchness.

Great to see him impact the game the way he did. Dont know how long Saka is going to be injured or off form so it is critical we have Noni in productive vein. He has so far been exactly as expected and advertised - flaky, but capable.

it's good for eze to shoot because he can strike a ball properly, his problem is getting in those positions. noni can get in those positions but can't do shit when he's there.
