I guess it's legit to compare Noni and Eze because we signed both for sums in summer, but they're not similar players.
Noni is a not-quite-output monster who always seems like he's on the cusp of suddenly being a 2 GA per 90 player. He gets on the pitch, he torments a couple of defenders, he fucks up a few final actions, then nothing. With that in mind, great to see him delivering a scorcher of a cross and a devilish corner versus Leeds. If he did that regularly he would be a star.
Eze has arrived at a more ambiguous position in the rankings. When he does play he drifts in and out and has a very inconsistent influence of any kind. I often can't tell if he's confident or unconfident simply because he's barely seen the ball. But then, when Eze does get on the ball, he picks it up in the positions of a proper creator, and we've seen he can see and find passes, or options, that a player like Madueke would very rarely spot.
At the moment both players still have a bright future at Arsenal, but only if each goes up a gear.
