The need for attackers has obviously gone up as players have left and Martinelli hasn't pushed on as expected.

The failure to bring in attackers in the past 12 months has been nothing short of catastrophic.

I would say Nketiah's role as our 3rd choice forward is the only one that hasnt been filled (although Merino did a semi-ok job scoring for us in the last part of this past season). Nelson barely played for us, and we've also had the likes of Nwaneri come through (who has a higher ceiling) Smith Rowe didn't need replacing, but we could also point to Merino as being that plug as well.

We all know we need to bring in some attacking players in this window, and Im pretty positive we will.

Few years difference in age. Even if they didn't know each other directly they probably knew of each other coming through the Spanish Unders age groups.

I've never given his age any thought but I was slightly surprised to read Kepa is nearly 31.

a lot of players come through very young but not so for keepers still. Few remember the Emi Martinez that would try to save the ball with the wrong hand while he played in our League Cup squad.
