I also think 4-2-3-1 is the best attacking shape for the player material we have (just flatten it out in the defensive phase by dragging the fullback down and dropping Gyo on the left, and he'll be in his favoured left position when we get the ball back), but Madueke over Saka on the right is crazy. I assume Ray meant with current injuries in mind.

Sicario2 I have never really understood the 'first team player' or the 'starting XI' thing. If you are plaing in the CL then the game requires a squad. Its no longer about the starting XI but about the squad. Frankly it has been so for more than a decade now. With that in mind i do feel Martinelli has a place in the squad. I would even go ahead and start him in certain games given the opposition. IMO unless you are a Salah or a Haaland or a defender the concept of guranteed starter a bit outdated.

Coombs I meant first team as in first 11. He still has a place in the squad, just. But this will likely be his last season (for his own good too).

Xcdude24 I think yes, the double-pivot suits him better than a more fixed 6 or 8 position.

ben white didn't train today so he seems to be going from "oh wow he indestructible to oh no he's injury prone." the mosquito should play RB instead of timber because he's another one that needs to be carefully managed.

White is a major concern. He used to be indestructible. I guess we destructed him through overuse.

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert have you noticed most of our key players from 2023-2024 are currently injured. Another reason why we should have won the title that year when we were on top and these guys were all peak fitness.

Luckily we got a big squad now but the ‘old guard’ being coming injury prone means we could have the same issue with newer guys in 18 months two years due to over playing.

I hope Arteta rests the like of Rice and Timber a lot more so we don’t have the same issue.

Im not saying he isn't injured, but i havent heard that he is, just that he's missing.

White reached his Phase limit last season. Think he’ll be moved on and upgraded next summer

Arteta described him as still out with the other injured players. So yes sounds like he is injured.
