I think we're already a problem for everyone right now, and we're only just starting this blend of control-ball v. unpredictability. Being overly cautious against Pool (at Anfield, mind you) aside, we will see in the next week and a half where we really are. Away in the CL, home v City and then away at Newcastle (and a Carabao cup game v Port Vale in there too). If we get max points on these 3 games, we will have a fairly 'easier' run of games until late November.
We have 2 full teams that can beat most teams most days. If Arteta truly learns how to rotate players to keep everyone fresh, that is a really scary proposition for everyone else. And we have the likes of Saliba, Saka, Havertz, White and Ode all on the comeback trail.
I waver within myself between caution (given our track record in recent seasons) and 'holy shit, look at this squad'. I am trying to temper my excitement on what this team can become, especially if everyone stays healthy and bought-in to The Process(r). There truly is not a single team who can match us in depth quality right now. There may be a team or two whose first team rivals ours (Pool, Barca, PSG), but having a second string team thats almost as strong as our starting XI is something i just havent seen at Arsenal before. Not even in the Golden Age of the Invincibles.
Imagine a team chasing us around for 50 or 60 minutes, getting tired, and then we can throw on the likes of Havertz, Madueke and Gabimart/Trossard against tired legs. Not to mention, we have quality midfield and defensive players to close out games if needed. Shit, even our backup keeper is highly experienced, decent, and probably the best backup keeper 5 million could ever buy.
