The litmus test for whether this is a good signing or not is next season when we've been playing every 3 days since the start of December and it's now mid-January, Zubimendi and the rest of the midfield (assuming they're healthy) are running on fumes and we have an away tie to Aston Villa in mid-week (I've not seen the fixture list so excuse me) - we look to our bench and we're looking at Norgaard, Merino and Nwaneri (who is also covering for Saka) to freshen the midfield up.
How confident are you bringing in one of those players and not significantly reducing our chance of taking all three points?
