He's already doing what I was hoping Madueke would do as a signing this season. Our attack has rested on Saka's shoulders and once he goes off, it's usually game over in terms of threat. Having someone retire him in the final 20 minutes who has more pace and can beat his man for fun is exactly the kind of alternative that the opposition will hate coming on as a sub. We haven't had someone who could inject pace to the attack from the bench since Ox.
I would use Dowman as an impact sub all season long with Madueke starting games in Saka's place in the cup. I wouldn't want to risk him more than that, but he's way too good to not feature. He is already one of our best players but durability and stamina is likely to be low given his age, so use him cautiously.
