Personally I think we have to build a run now and it needs to be wins including Newcastle. There was plenty of talk last season about how we had a difficult run and it would all change with later fixtures but it didn't. We need to build a serious run of wins.

Cannon Don't think the read on Arteta's mentality currently is too hard. He never won this league as a player, and after being given a huge opportunity as a manager he still hasn't won it despite a couple of close campaigns.

He's watched his former mentor and sponsor Guardiola win it repeatedly and now he's watched a new rival manager win it off the top.

He's immensely successful in life, but he still must pray desperately for rain nearly every night.

SimplyThePest Pep is definitely tired/burntout a bit. He has been with city almost 10 years now and has won everything there is to win, so its understandable. Slot is doing well IMO, i don't see anything that seems out of order to me. What i meant was Arteta does seem a little diffremt in his press interactions this season i mean apart from his starting XI shenanigans.

We weren't that dominant last season. We scored a deflected goal to put us in front and then they just collapsed on the counter. In terms of controlling the game we were much more dominant this season.

Gurgen To me the difference between our game last season and this will be that while last term we struggled to get goals and got pegged back from winning positions often, this one if we do concede first, we will struggle to get back into the game / create enough chances to actually win. I know it's early and we haven't seen our full team play together regularly, but our lack of creativity is still a huge red flag this year despite the additions specifically designed to alleviate the issue.
