FEBravo Hope we haven’t peaked too early in the CL. Remember we beat PSG comprehensively and they didn’t even make the top 8. Doesn’t take anything away from this accomplishment but the real work is yet to come!

Claudius we are pretty much exactly where Liverpool were this time last year. Top of Europe, top of the league with a nice cushion, in a strong position for a LC final and still in the FA cup. They fell off in a big way competing on all fronts and limped to their PL title. Arteta needs to learn from their mistakes (and I think last summer shows an awareness) and make sure he rotates in a way that keeps everyone as fresh as possible. Watching Liverpool in the league cup final last year was sad, they played their full first team but had no energy and didn't put up a fight at all. Almost as bad when they played PSG.

PSG did find their balance but they also had the league near enough wrapped up by the knockout phases and were able to heavily rotate their team to keep their team fresh in the CL. I also think we beat them if we had our players available....

Yeah that's how I feel about it too. We have another level we can reach. Right now none of that attackers feel like they are playing at the top of their game bar maybe Trossard. Saka is playing well but lacking end product. Gyok, Eze, Madueke, Ode and even Rice all feel like they have more end product than they are show. Havertz is coming back. If it clicks for 2 or 3 of these guys we'll look absolutely unstoppable.

That is seriously impressive especially when you consider we have played clubs like Atletico, Bayern Munich and Inter already in the CL.

yeah that's the thing with our CL record so far, we actually played proper teams. outside of PSG tottnumb's for example is pretty europa league-ish.

I thought the team we played against Inter was basically fine. The relative priority of the Milk Cup game and the Nottingham Forest game was insane. We should have simply lost earlier in the League Cup.

While we are still in the CL he has a place here. Our attacking is a shambles , so the minute we have an off day defensively we are so easy to play against. Unless we win the CL he shouldn't be here for another season.

It’s asinine to think we should compete on all four trophy fronts when we haven’t won one, nor will winning the EFL or FA Cup excuse a poor league or CL finish.

We should have played Eze, Madueke and the likes in every EFL game, and most the FA cup games.

There’s plenty of examples of teams not in Europe having great domestic seasons because they’re fresh week in and week out.

Has to go if we don't win the league or Europe. Continuing with him after another empty handed season will see it go bad again; loss of dressing room, etc.
