Yep. Only thing is these days they are a bit smarter about their positioning and deploying double teams/ neutralizing the overload on the flanks. Outside of that it's the same old same old.
Now, are more teams setting up that way, absolutely.
That's why set pieces have become so critical to breaking open games.
The next evolution will involve the skill set which comes into greater demand in response to the low block and the need to break it down. 1) the mavericks, who can beat their opponent 1 v 1, and operate in tight spaces. 2) creatives in the final third 3) wingers with pin point / consistent crossing ability.
Re: 3; I think of situations where Saka is on the wing trying to work out a cross into the box. I don't see how this should be very different from a corner/set piece situation.
