one moment with him that made me shake my head was when he drove all the way to timber on the touchline and just rolled the ball to him when he realized he had no where else to go. somehow timber managed to wriggle his way out, but after a heavy touch the ball went out, so at least it wasn't a turnover with our CB all the way up the pitch.

JazzG if we maintain our pace, that game versus City could be meaningless. It’s round 35. If we are focused we could even get them to give us a guard of honor before the game or win the league at their place. That would be fucking epic.

Qwiss Yeah but then Wednesday evening happened and City dropped points. The circumstances changed after Wednesday morning. We had an eminently winnable home game against a team in not great form and without arguably their starting front three (or perhaps two of them anyway), and ended the game relieved with a point and not losing.

Tam meh it's a draw with one of probably the top 3, current champions, in abysmal weather. It's not exactly the disaster people are treating it as.

I wouldn't though.. Arteta has got us to this position, long before Berta arrived.. Berta would get his credit though, I guess.

Arteta has a lot of goodwill banked, at least in my view. Berta doesn't.. Why I said that is I think a big reason if we were to fail this season would be that our new signing haven't had the required impact.. and if that's the case. its not been a good use of resources.. which is ultimately what Berta should be judged on.

That obviously wouldn't be the only reason, Arteta would shoulder a lot of the blame and can understand people wanting him gone.

Berta has done a great job. We have suffered so many injuries this season. Basically everybody of significance except Rice, Timber and Zubi has spent time on the sidelines. Others like Eze have had to have their load managed as well. Yet we are top everywhere.

@Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert, this will be interesting reading for you. Game’s evolving and Arteta is at the vanguard of change . One interesting thing is we as a collective tend to romanticise the Invincibles area as a time of great attacking football. The data shows both Arsenal and the league as a whole scored fewer open play goals then.
