i thought suarez would flop, too. shows what i know.

For some reason we seem to pick up the cold-fearing South Americans instead of the street fighters like Suarez and Tevez. Ah well.

I'm more worried about the lack of chances we've been creating lately without cesc than a new striker.

We need to address the wing and midfield positions and then probably the defensive positions like CB and DM before we even think about a new striker.

Its all good and well getting a new forward but it would mean very little if we keep on conceding set pieces and remain blunt in the final third without Cesc.

Interesting stat from @Orbinho earlier: 13 goals at the Emirates from outside the penalty area last season. Zero this season.

Cesc has been in very different shape this year - he scored over half of those last year I think.

I think if we had another top class centre forward up top alongside Van Persie-or with RVP just in behind-we wouldn't need to rely so heavily on Cesc to create. We could mix our game up and play more direct, more often, similar to the 07/08 style.

Alot of people thought Suarez is a diver and too soft and will be eaten alive. Same logic that people thinks Messi will flop in our league.

Shows otherwise. If you are talented and have the skills you will succeed no matter where. Lass rumoured to join us as well. I hope we get some good players from RM clearout

why would Lass want to play for Wenger after their fallout?

And why would Wenger take him back? That'd make no sense.

He's alright, not amazing. Not good enough to put aside the bullshit from the last time he was here.

I watched a lot of Milan last couple of seasons. They've become a bit of a hobby. Thiago Silva is immense. I just doubt that they would sell him at a time when Galliani and Berlusconi are crowing about showering the team with 'gifts'

been saying it for a while now: silva is the best defender in the world. pure class.

He was amazing in the 2nd leg of el clasico. We could do with a DM like him.

i rate Diarra. just don't think his history with Wenger would lead to a happy reunion of the two.

Not many strikers with undisputed class seemingly available. I'd imagine there will be a host of clubs interested if benzema really is allowed to leave Madrid

what history? he wanted to play we couldn't guarantee him and he moved on or has my memory failed me again?

Because Wenger isn´t very good at managing his squad.

Ran Flamini into the ground? Seriously?

Gilberto had hardly played if i remember correctly. Isn't that the year that he came back late from South America and learned that he wasn't captain while reading the Sunday paper over breakfast?

Capi, one of the things I remember from that season, amongst other things was that Flamini was less effective in the latter stages of the season than he had been at the beginning.
