That Madrid have become fed up of Benzema and Arsenal could be using this situation to their advantage.

His goals are a lot more impressive than Higuain's.

Benzema is a top talent. His mentality is obviously in question. He may not be keen on coming though being the undisputed number 1 striker at Real this season.

The newspaper also claim that fans are turning against the pair and even suggest that their perceived poor performances and bad attitude during the first game of the season was down to them sulking because they haven't got the new deals they desire. El Confidencial claim that Benzema is on the market, he'll be sold if a decent offer comes in.

This was all two days ago, an article published on Tuesday. Yesterday media outlets in England claimed that Arsenal were set to make a bid for the striker. The Telegraph said on Wednesday that Arsenal were making a £40m move for the player who has two years left on his current deal, it sounds like enough. Real Madrid would then look at bringing another striker in, but also give Morata more game time.

It's all either a nice coincidence for Arsenal or the club cleverly taking advantage of the situation.

Higuain is a very good player but on form Benzema is a Rolls Royce striker, top top tier striker.

With Bale's signing imminent he will play second fiddle to him and C.Ronaldo so I don't think we will see the best of him there. I'd take the risk of overspending on him, at Arsenal I think we could bring the best out of him. I just can't see this happening though, they've sold Higuain for big money and unless there is a replacement of similar calibre I don't see why R.Madrid would sell.

I'd say that RVP and Rooney aren't currently in the same bracket as each other either.

Hmm. Maybe I just haven't watched him regularly enough to compare properly but I've not seen anything from him that would make me rate him as in the same league as RVP talent wise.

Don't rate him highly at all. For me, he's just a level above Torres is at currently

A properly motivated and fit Benzema would kill it in the Prem imo.

And a fat and unmotivated Benzema will look pony bit still score the odd blinder, which is more than we got from Giroud anyway.

From flicking through various rumours, reports and comments it sounds as if maybe Madrid have put Benzema on the market but the man himself does not want to leave?
I read before that his wages are not massive at Madrid so money might change his mind, you would have to wonder how hungry he'd be for success with us though.
He'd need some desire given the challenges he'll face as part of our set-up

Bezema looks like he is a slob carry 10 kg of weight that he doesn't need, I have no interest in paying good money to have some guy who frankly doesn't look after himself. We should be moving for Rooney if we don't care about fitness levels.
