Either going to the stadium and whipping out a match report within an hour of full time, conducting pre-match interviews, or doing biographical pieces on players and coaches. They never had to spend the summer calling up various club officials and agents, and repeating ITK rubbish. Also remember that actual journalists are trained to write news, not hearsay. So it’s normal we didn’t grow up around this noise.
