I don't think a punt like Trincao is what we need. He couldn’t break into the starting XI at Wolves and lacked both physicality and end product when he did get a chance.
Rodrygo would be my preference over Williams. At 24, he has already shown his quality at the highest level for Real Madrid in both La Liga and the Champions League. I also think he’s the better goalscorer and could really explode if given more responsibility on the pitch. Williams is physically stronger, but I feel Rodrygo offers more against low blocks and in tight spaces—he’s more likely to produce those moments of magic.
That said, I’d be happy with either. Any other (plausible) option would be a tier below, in my opinion.
