Burnwinter because everyone says we agreed personal details with Eze weeks ago but haven't moved beyond that. I don't we are waiting for Gyokeres to be finished. We worked on Madueke and Mosquera while we worked on Gyok. Unless Trossard moves I don't think we'll see another attacker come in.

Mosquera won't have a "relationship" with Gyökeres and Madueke comes mainly as backup for Saka in my opinion. Since the "relationship" between striker and LW / left 8 has been a glaring deficiency for two seasons I don't think it's implausible locking Gyökeres in affects what we do. Put it this way, I hope it does.

Mirth not disputing that, but just think BBKG's characterization of this team as essentially all brawn and no brains is a little extreme.

RocktheCasbah the reality is all the top PL clubs are focussing on that physical profile now. Peps done it at City. Liverpools are mostly big units and hard workers now too. It's just how the game is right now, the trick is to find these big lads who will have the skills as well. We've done a decent job of that and if anything Zubi leans more towards guile than Partey did.

Madueke is our new starting LW, make no mistake about it.
We needed a striker a LW and a DM. We got the DM, now we are fighting Sporting over 1.5 mil and cannot buy the LW we need until we sell but we had 52 mil to buy a back up right wing? Yeah right.

HomeSteak Arteta said that Tier 1 stuff at the press conference on the Asia tour. All the "Arsenal have said internally" stuff now is just trying to look like you are in the loop.

HomeSteak I don't think we are close to PSR trouble. I think the issue now, despite what people wanted to believe on Artetas comments about squad numbers, is that we have enough players in the attacking positions. If you read those tier 1 comments from Arteta its pretty clear Trossard was one of the few not first XI players he actually considered tier 1. He's not going to sign someone that makes Trossard surplus to requirements. They might be happy to sell him but I get the feeling they're probably not going to push it much.

Gazza M what the HOA says is that it was related more to Nwaneri's signing but that Arteta is pushing for it despite us signing on Ethan.

He speculates about Trossard's sale opening the door. He doesn't know this. Either way, it's still billionaire money. Who cares? City has just spent 300m this year without our level of sporting success in the period. And we are hearing they're to be docked a massive 3 points for their spending and underhanded tactics in the past 5 - 8 years.

People were moaning about our transfer window but this has been the best in living memory. Berta had an absolute shit ton of things to do this window and has got through a lot in a very short space of time.

Saka and Saliba contracts need sorted and get Eze over the line and this is about as good as it gets in the transfer window for us.

Madueke killed the summer lol. Be surprised if we bring another attacker in now, as others have said the numbers are covered and that doesn't even include Jesus who will be back by December. Eze will only come if Trossard goes 😢 We are done.
