Klaus Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus (for three weeks a year) are our strikers.

We’ve a geriatric as back up to Martinelli. We started the season with a 17 year old as Saka’s back up.

There is no clear back up for Odegaard.

We signed Mikel Merino who has shown his best form as third choice striker.

Partey speaks for himself, and when he wasn’t fit we hoped Jorginho had one of his weeks of fitness to cover.

There’s periodically discussions about which full back we’d like to see, or might have to see in the holding midfield slot because it turns out it isn’t a great idea to have two players in that position who are over 30.

Midfield pretty much rests on Declan Rice as there is no real leadership or creativity aside from him thundering free kicks in.

We could afford to let Tierney and Tomiyasu go and be no worse off for it in terms of numbers. Could arguably let Zinchenko leave without needing to replace him too. Probably another left back or two I’ve forgotten.

Winner of Britain’s Got Talent gets to be goalie number 2. Had a couple of comedians. Probably due a dog act soon.

Klaus these people tried to sign Mudryk for £60m. That's damning on its own.

It's always some weird signing a tier below or the wrong fit for what we need.

No other big club is going out to sign Madueke. He's not terrible but he's not a guy who could play for City, Liverpool, Barca, Real, PSG, Bayern, etc

Klaus pretty much. One of our key strategies each summer is asking Chelsea what they want rid of and taking it off their hands. Sometimes they even subsidise the wages to get the deal over the line. They can keep spending the way they do because they know we'll give them money for the ones that don't work out. There's generally a reason they are happy for players to go to a rival.

Klaus This transfer policy has got us from dreaming of a top 4 finish to competing for the title. Our transfer business is not perfect but over the last 3 years I don’t think any club in the PL has done better.

CPM Last season we were crying for depth and options and when we are trying to improve on that people are moaning. We’ve run Saka into the ground because we don’t have anyone to rotate him with.

I’m seeing people moaning about us not signing someone better I’d love to know which shit hot talent would join knowing they’ll be sitting on the bench behind one of the elite wide players in world football?

This isn’t us signing some washed up bum from Chelsea. Gives us a completely different option and someone who in the last season has really come on massively. We’ve got nowhere near enough ball carrying and running power in our attacking players and he’ll improve us there. Chelsea have some of the best talent ID in the world but they also have huge turn over of players and a shit environment for players. If a player meets our requirements and he comes from them I don’t really care.

What dedicated Bukayo Saka backup do people think we could/should get that is oh-so-much better than Madueke? I'd prefer Kudus but that's really it. Madueke is a clear number 2. Sure as fuck way better than Mbuemo, for example. People are doing the thing where they grossly underrate a player that just happened to have negative G - xG for a single season. Or do people think that this is instead of Rodrygo and/or a center forward?

Qwiss you have to stop viewing him as a first team player. He’s coming in as a squad player.

Qwiss The funny thing is if we wanted Madueke, we should have signed him 1.5 years ago when Chelsea signed him for 28m. Not sign him for 50m after he flopped there.

Arteta's penchant for "PL Proven" player is costing the club massively in opportunity costs. Signing Noorgaard over Agoume, Madueke over say the next Madueke in Bakoyoko etc. If you are signing a backup, you can afford to sign a talented player to blood, instead of spending 50m on him. So Madueke won't be coming here as a backup you can be sure of it.

Funny thing is Estevao looked twice the player he is yesterday and he only costs 25m pounds. They are selling Madueke to make space for him and we are funding it, helping their PSR once again to help them sign more talents.

At this stage, we have a better chance signing Sesko if Chelsea signed him first.

He's definitely better. This is a classic case of one player way overperforming their xG and the other player underperforming it.

Sicario2 for £40-50m he's going to play a lot. This isn't another Kepa or Norgaard.

Mbeumo is good but he doesn’t strike me as the type of player that can get at the best teams in Europe. Madueke though had a few unstoppable traits like his leggy run style
