I’d be okay with Madueke but only if we are getting him as Saka backup and if he isnt in place of CF, LW and the other attacker (Eze). Saying that, I have big doubts we would sign 4 attacking players this summer unless we are definitely selling Martinelli or Trossard.
Now if we sold Trossard and then brought in Gyokeres/Sesko, Eze, Rodrygo and Madueke, then I’d be completely on board but just do not think we are going to go that all out. I also think you can sign Eze and have reliable cover at RW for Saka between Eze, Nwaneri and Martinelli. I also don’t know why he’d come here just to be Saka’s backup.
I’m going to be really pissed if we sign Madueke instead of Eze. Hope that’s not in the plans. Ideally we should be bringing in one of the CFs and Eze in the next two weeks and then seeing what happens with Rodrygo. If we can sign him then we should go for it and then if we can sell Trossard, go for Madueke.
