Sicario2 Agree with this. If we are in the same spot with ST recruitment in 2-3 weeks time, I will join those on here in getting impatient. I think we see big progress in the next 7-10 days with Sesko though. Although, I will say that if we do advance on Eze or one of the winger targets in that time instead, I will take that as long as no one else has moved for Sesko in that time.

lorddulaarsenal As optimistic as I am, we definitely aren't bringing in 4 new attacking signings. Eze and Rogers are mutually exclusive in my mind - unless we think Rogers can be a LW and then I'd be fine bringing in Rogers over Rodrygo, etc. I still am not buying the Gyokeres stories- all seems like smoke screens to me while we just wait out Leipzig lowering their fee to an acceptable level of around 70m euros.

My dream would be Eze, Sesko and Rogers or Barcola. If I had to put my money on it, I'd bet on us coming out of the summer with Eze, Sesko and Rodrygo though and that is perfectly fine to me. I'd imagine we will have to move on Trossard or maybe Martinelli (ideally Leo goes) to do it but we would be in such a good spot if that's how it turns out.

Our pursuit of Sesko has frankly been a joke. The player isn't keen and has rebuffed us three windows running.

After last season's disappointment, we and more importantly the players need some attacker's who are going to get everyone excited again. I think Gyokeres can be that guy.

Yeah I'm not liking that aspect of it at all. TBH I felt he was too big for his boots turning us down last season. And for what, guy had a very mid season anyway.

Dunno, Laca was pretty mid from the get-go. Contributed more in the build-up when he joined than I'd anticipated but never looked anything like a top tier talent.

Things like that is what got Man Utd into the position they are in now, we are not Vibes FC and can't be making £70m signings just for the feels. We should sign who the management and our scouts think is the best, even if that annoys a section of our fanbase. Once fans start running clubs you know you are in trouble then.

Our fanbase weren't exactly that optimistic when we signed Zinchenko and Jesus but both of them that season proved they were the right players to elevate us.

I see what you're saying but, but do you want the player who jumps for the money early or the player who develops a bit longer and has the intelligence to jump at the right time?

I could be wrong but I don't think he was rejecting us as he thought weren't a big enough club. So I'd give him a pass.

But I agree with the sentiment that you don't want to sign a player who's thinks he's doing you a favor by joining.

Speedster if the guy staying to develop (hoping someone else comes in for him) then only scores 13 goals in the Bundesliga he should be at Artetas feet begging to come here. If the stuff about him wanting a release clause is true we should shut it down immediately.
