daredevil I think Arteta wants numbers. Seems to me from what he's said and the way we don't seem to want to spend much over £60m on anyone that he'd rather 3 £60-70m players than 2 £100m players. I think he may be overreacting to last seasons injury crisis tbh.

Qwiss I think if there were £100m+ players available in our weak areas I think we'd be in for them. If we consider our weak areas being CF and LW apart from Isak, who isn't available, there isn't another £100m player who we could get or available

One thing that crosses my mind with respect to the Eze links is, why did we sell ESR? I'm not saying they're the same level but they're a similar profile and I'd imagine if we signed him that Eze would start on the bench more often than not (unless we don't buy another winger...).

When you look at the financials, it doesn't make sense to me.

Don Pacifico Very true. Also I strongly think that Eze would flop here. He's a good player and I love a player who can dribble but he's not good enough to be a starter at Arsenal for my money even discounting the fact you mention about where he would play in our system.

For the 'separate to winger + striker' that's clasic Arsenal PR and I'm not falling for it. I have a feeling that they will just wait and see if Rodrygo is available, and if he is, they will make a move(there will be competition so it is not a sure thing we get him even if he wants to move). If he is not, then we do not get another winger.

Kepa, Mosquera, Zubimendi, Norgard. That is 90 mil right there.
Then Eze, Striker & winger. Striker will be 70+, Eze has a release clause of 70+ and for Rodrygo 70-90. Yeah that is 300 mil, this is Arsenal. We are not doing all that. Typing this I'm pretty sure we know Rodrygo is not moving and its 100% just a PR move. After deadline day the gunnerIsuckArtetaoffBlog will post about how we tried to get him, but it just did not work out, but everyone was just so impressed about how we moved that they had a global meeting talking about how amazing we are.

We should have plenty of money. We pretty much made what we spent in the market last summer so we should have a proper war chest this summer. Liverpool have reportedly £300m to spend so why shouldn't we? We've offloaded a few big wages already too. Lets just get what we need.

JazzG true enough. I also think they are rightly looking at people like Sesko and realising they aren't worth €90m. Either way they need to get it right this summer.

My prediction is that we will leave one key position short. Why? Because we are always ‘one player from winning the league’ and can’t see that changing this summer. So we will either sign the LW and not get the Striker or vice versa.
