Trying not to get my hopes up but I think Eze would absolutely cook for us. I like his fit more than Rodrygo due to his PL experience, robustness on the ball and versatility. He’s not a burner however (neither is Rodrygo though) and I do want to see more speed in our attack but I think he can make up for that with his carrying ability. If we added him and Sesko, I’d be happy. I also think there may be truth to Ornstein’s claim we are going after 3 attacking signings. Eze, Sesko and a more pure LW would be a 10/10 summer for me along with Zubimendi, Kepa, Norgaard and maybe Mosquera. Seems houseboat but I wouldn’t be shocked.
Ideally we could lock them down in the next 2-3 weeks and then spend the rest of the summer flirting with guys like Barcola, Leao, or Rodrygo to add a roll of the dice on the left. I think there’s risk with all three either due to league fit (Rodrygo/Barcola) or fit with Arteta (Leao), but if they hit they’d be world class additions.
