His rise is astronomical.
Don't think I've ever been so excited by an England goal. Well, maybe Saka's equaliser at the last Euros.. so, so pleased for him and I was only watching because he was making his debut.
Even Keane talked very highly of him, and you know he can be quite harsh (like he was about Foden and Rashford), but he had a lot of good things to say about MLS.

But there is a difference between jumping up and down on my granddad's sofa as a 12 year old (Platt) and having your cynical, international sceptic, heart cracked open by a kid who's just done something all of us who grew up watching football in England would have dreamed of. Especially this kid who has been through quite a lot in the last six months.
This guy will be our left sided Odegaard.
