That one has come out of the blue? I don't know how reliable this guy is for transfer news but he is pretty reliable for youth players and for Chelsea.

    Claudius Thing about him is he rarely talks about transfers. Good for info on youth players so he is well connected in the sport.

    I'm not entirely sure about this as well, I like Watkins but the age and fee does seem a bit high.

      Sign Watkins for 3 good seasons with higher chance of us winning something soon or sign Duran/Tel/Sesko for 10 good seasons….

      If it is the former then it means the board think we can win something THIS season.

              £60m for Watkins means we are unlikely to get a better striker in the summer. This is a no for me. I'd rather we go for Tel who isn't as good as Watkins currently but has the potential to be an elite forward which Watkins will never be

                Strange one & I don't see it happening. Unai always wants 2 quality strikers in his team. Duran is leaving and they got Malen. No way they let Watking go in january, make that end of january, why would they ? He gets them double digits goals and assists every season, huge player for them

                No Thanks.. Especially for 60m. Option this window are dogshit, just wait until the summer..

                Tactics the club may think (like me) that the window to win a title is limited.

                Will Tel be better than Watkins next year? Doubtful.

                Utd signed a 29 year old RVP as we all know and won the title.

                We signed a 28 year old Auba who nearly won us Europa League and led us to FA cup glory within 18 months/2 years.

                Maybe Artera’s knows he won’t have a 5 year window after this and it’s now the time to strike.

                    Would Watkins be cup tied for UCL with us if Villa fails to advance to the knockouts?
