It is looking like the CF options are Gyokeres/Sesko/Osimhen possibly all available now if we stump up enough cash or in the summer if we wait.
The winger options are Williams/Semenyo/Gittens maybe a bit more difficult to obtain now but sounds more likely in the case of Gittens considering Chelsea made enquiry.
The creative midfielder options are Nypan/Lee Kang-In.
I would argue 1 from either of the first 2 lists should be signed in Jan and the rest can wait until the summer.
CPM if the rumors are correct he’d be our highest paid player weekly. I think that’s a bridge too far personally, especially with big contract renewals for Saliba, etc. coming up.
Panda If Gittens is moving this month we need to be all over it. If we could get Gittens and then somehow convince Leipzig to do a loan with obligation to buy at above Sesko’s gentlemen agreed release clause then it would be a 10/10 window for me. Now I think the likelihood of that is about 5% but one can dream.
In a pinch, I wonder if we could convince Napoli to break Osimhen’s loan and then loan him here for maybe a small fee and the advantage of additional exposure in a big team. The positive for them would be increasing his value if he were to have a great second half in England and we could evaluate if he could work here. I’m still not convinced on him long term but he would certainly be more worth the gamble to me than someone like Vlahovic.
I don't know what the financial situation is of Frankfurt but Leipzig are very firm on their pricing, their whole business model is built on that and they will sell but only at the right price. I read earlier that he has a £60m gentleman’s clause in his contract for the summer, so that is the starting point.

Leipzig will certainly sell for an absurd price, and their financial requirements differ from Frankfurt.
Further, there’s a larger opportunity cost (risk) in not selling Marmoush now than there is with Sesko. We’ve already seeing Marmoush slow down, give it another month of middling performance and he’d be worth £40m.
Just get Mateta. We'd be top of the league if we got him in the summer.
