who is this guy?

Kyle Walker has been roasted a few times in the league and decided to dip. Thought he would end up in Saudi, their adultery laws might have put him off 😉

I was against any panic buys this month unless it was bringing forward a signing we had earmarked for the summer but the injury crisis might necessitate a move to at least ensure we solidify top 4 status by the end of the year. At this point, I'd be checking to see if there is any fee that would get Brentford to move Mbuemo, Bournemouth to move Semenyo, or Bayern to move Sane. We need an attacker desperately and I don't think moving for any of those 3 would necessarily sacrifice our long term plans (Semenyo would be my pick but I would doubt strongly that Bournemouth would entertain moving him given their position in the table). If none of those are viable, I think we have to at least consider paying Nico Williams what he wants even with the wage ramifications down the line. Right now, I am not confident that a forward rotation of Martinelli, Havertz, Trossard, and Sterling can really do anything - especially with Odegaard in this form and Merino looking like a passenger most games. I don't want to get desperate but I fear we might look back at this period in May and realize we had to make a signing to save top 4.

BBC running a big story on how we need a striker. This is not good for us, but it is a situation of our own making. Arteta will probably double down on who he's got if he's calling the shots, because he won't want to look responsive to media pressure.

Would like us to maybe go for a young striker with potential alongside a more established CF option to start. Was a shame that after selling Balogun and Biereth, we didn't have anyone else of similar promise from our academy to act as option off the bench.

DKGooner we'd be hearing calls to start chido obi if he was still with us by now. 😂

Sami Mokbel is very reliable usually when it comes to us.

At this point, I'd take Kolo Muani or Vlahovic on loan for the rest of the season - if they are an option.

The Zubimendi news coming out of nowhere does make me a bit optimistic that we are still working on something larger that we are keeping under wraps though.

Sicario2 - Tier 1 maybe so but he's still not at the level required to help us challenge. If it's a loan to the end of the season then I'd be open to it but not if we're signing him and having him take up a squad place.

I'd take him on a loan but it sounds like the reason he's not in the squad is he is injured... do we really need another training table occupant?

Sicario2 - Tier 1 I agree. Would be okay with a loan but don't see why Juve would agree to one unless an obligation is attached. Very little in it for them.

Talk is they’re after Muani on loan so my be open to letting Vlahovic go

Who the fuck can we get though. This is why I'm not holding out for anything substantial this window. We'll get bodies, just prey it's a Trossard type signing who short term can hit the ground running even though it doesn't work long term.

Sicario2 - Tier 1 Vhalovic on loan is 100 times better than signing no one

The face the Juve fans want to get rid of him doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. His record for them has been shit and supposedly has injury problems. A loan maybe but we shouldn't be spending big money on him imo.

Also a part of me doesn't want him, we pushed really hard a few years back and felt like he turned his nose up at the chance of joining us. Like we were beneath him, shouldn't forget this, even though that sounds childish!

Rashford on loan (no obligation) with us covering his full wage and paying United a fee might be worth the gamble. He's a streaky player and if he finds his 22/23 form for 6 months, we might have a chance of doing something this season.

TambourineMan nope. I very much doubt he can find his form.
