This is a good link, just on the small side...

Do goals in the Champions League and domestic cups not count anymore?

daredevil I mean you’re still left with the same goal to game ratio

marmoush and kvara both on the move in january.

HomeSteak baena would fix most of our creativity issues from LW imo. he's not a traditional explosive winger like some of us are pining for, but he's an intelligent nippy technician that would make everyone in our left channel better. the kind of winger pep loves. pity the link is from that spoofer Ben Jacobs.

Understand a more refined player on the left would bring a lot of what we don’t have but I think we need a more powerful options - both Trossard and Martinelli get bodied as soon as they jostle for the ball. Get a leggy unpredictable fiend.

        Williams, Barcola, Kvaratskhelia….

Gazza M disappointing that we're seemingly not in the running for two available wingers but you never know what goes on behind the scenes.

I'd be suspicious about any top player joining this current incarnation of PSG.

For that price, I would call that a good market opportunity ...

Depends on whether he’d be open to a move to us though

lorddulaarsenal if we paid enough he'd come. Thats the only reason anyone is taking a step down from Serie A to Ligue 1.

PSG is a bigger club than Napoli so I doubt he views it as anything other than a step up.

And another one bites the dust...

Qwiss main reason he’s taking any step is the 5x change in salary. That said, any big club can afford what he is being paid on the surface. So would be good to understand the story further.

Don Pacifico no need to couch it. There’s a £50m off the books payment, looking at the parties involved

Claudius as soon as you saw him linked to PSG, you knew there must be something dodgy. Guy is one of the hottest prospects in world football and PSG are unlikely to get out of the CL group stage.

daredevil they're richer. That's about it.

Spend big on Araujo - Tet will get that new centreback rush and we can play Gabriel upfront

                Don Pacifico

Bad fortune my ass. This is elite sports. You can’t blame bad fortune over a period of 6 months esp when the same mistakes keep occurring. Also you make your own luck.

This team and manager will never get a buy because of ‘bad luck’. That simply won’t wash. Most feeble excuse ever.

Anyway, I really don’t know how Arteta turns this around. This is his biggest test at Arsenal since Dec 2020. Where’s his ESR now?

Sicario2 - Tier 1 you've not really responded to what I said. I said that recruitment could have helped mitigate our bad luck.

But we also shouldn't discount it completely. Real life (and football) doesn't operate in a vacuum and we are subject to factors outside our control. The fact you choose to ignore this is your choice but I consider it entirely unreasonable not to at least take it into account when assessing our performance.

                  who is this guy?

Kyle Walker has been roasted a few times in the league and decided to dip. Thought he would end up in Saudi, their adultery laws might have put him off 😉

I was against any panic buys this month unless it was bringing forward a signing we had earmarked for the summer but the injury crisis might necessitate a move to at least ensure we solidify top 4 status by the end of the year. At this point, I'd be checking to see if there is any fee that would get Brentford to move Mbuemo, Bournemouth to move Semenyo, or Bayern to move Sane. We need an attacker desperately and I don't think moving for any of those 3 would necessarily sacrifice our long term plans (Semenyo would be my pick but I would doubt strongly that Bournemouth would entertain moving him given their position in the table). If none of those are viable, I think we have to at least consider paying Nico Williams what he wants even with the wage ramifications down the line. Right now, I am not confident that a forward rotation of Martinelli, Havertz, Trossard, and Sterling can really do anything - especially with Odegaard in this form and Merino looking like a passenger most games. I don't want to get desperate but I fear we might look back at this period in May and realize we had to make a signing to save top 4.

BBC running a big story on how we need a striker. This is not good for us, but it is a situation of our own making. Arteta will probably double down on who he's got if he's calling the shots, because he won't want to look responsive to media pressure.

Would like us to maybe go for a young striker with potential alongside a more established CF option to start. Was a shame that after selling Balogun and Biereth, we didn't have anyone else of similar promise from our academy to act as option off the bench.

DKGooner we'd be hearing calls to start chido obi if he was still with us by now. 😂

Sami Mokbel is very reliable usually when it comes to us.

At this point, I'd take Kolo Muani or Vlahovic on loan for the rest of the season - if they are an option.

The Zubimendi news coming out of nowhere does make me a bit optimistic that we are still working on something larger that we are keeping under wraps though.
