Big one, considering the points we dropped this season, and how they have started, bigger then the City game for me. Must win. Liverpool has a new bald fraud in charge, they have won 11 out of 12 games with him (best start for a new Liverpool manager ever), they have won 6 out of 6 away games. Conceded just 3 goals, scored 15(same amount we scored). They have played shit teams to be fair, only Chelsea above 10th in the league. Also destroyed United, but everyone is doing that so....
We have to bring them down to earth, otherwise they might get involved in the title race, and considering they will get every call they want and are a great team...it's not good for us really.

By the looks of it Saka will play, so will Ben White. But the left back position is fucked. And who ever plays there gets to defend Salah lol. Now it's not the time, but we need to talk about what the fuck is going on here and how did we fuck it up in such a style. Timber, Califiori, Tomiyasu, Zinchenko and Tierney...we won't be able to get 50 games from all of them, this is not ok, that's over 100 mil in talent. We should never even consider buying an injury prone player again, and start getting rid of some of them starting this winter. They are not real players, they cannot be counted on. None of them can play more then 3 games in a row, with a few of them not being able to pull 90 minutes ....

The way we defend this season and the way Liverpool have been playing they will score at least 1 goal. Then you add no Saliba and no left back(Salah will murder us), it will be hard to keep them at just 1 goal. So in order to get something from this we might need 2-3 goals, this team does not have 3 goals in it, not against a good team, that conceded what? 3 goals until now.

If Saka plays we might get a draw, if he does not, it's an easy L.

Or maybe we will be flying, we will see. I would like us to press them as we seem to able to do, but only in some games...and dare I say it? Even attack? And try to score a goal that is not a set piece?

One thing I have learned about Mikel over the years is he is a problem-solver. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does here. I think he has been saving Saka for this, so we start him, Havertz, Trossard, Martinelli in our front 4. And then the midfield two of Rice and Partey. And a back four of MLS, Gabriel, Kiwior and White.

That back four will probably cause us to kick long much more than usual, so will be interesting to see if we can win those duels and retain the ball.

Liverpool coming to the Emirates … I reckon Arne Slot and their players will know deep down they haven't faced truly elite opposition often, or at all this season.

Despite the weird doomsday mood hanging over us, we're rightly and rationally the favourites seen as more likely to win. We can hurt them.

Made-up cards and a statistically implausible pile-up of injuries mean we'll see a makeshift backline. It's so dumb Saliba is suspended for this. I hope Jarred Gillett gets veneral disease from a toilet seat.

For as much lots of the talk of this fixture is about Liverpool have everything to prove I think it's bigger for us for what it will say about where exactly we are at this season. I didn't expect Liverpool to start like they have easy run or not and I don't think many people had them in the race whereas we would have been expected to be the team taking the challenge to City. We need to win in my view being 7 and 6 points behind our rivals wood be pretty disastrous at this point.

We haven't looked great defensively which has been one the characteristics Arteta has tried to instill in us so I don't fancy us preventing them scoring in this fixture meaning we will need a couple at least. If Saka doesn't make it I think that will be beyond us our threat really relies on him the outlet when we pass it out from the back or try to hit it long. If he is back then we have a much better chance as long as we aren't trying to push him too soon based on whatever his injury is.

The team and Arteta have to show character and demonstrate they are the team to challenge and hopefully pip City to the league but if your that team in these moments you have to win these matches.

One player is rarely the deciding factor in a single game, but I would feel a lot more confident if Timber is ready for this one. We really need proper full backs against Liverpool's wingers.

Against other wingers/teams - when we're playing fringe players like Kiwior/MLS - I could imagine Rice shifting over to help cover a dangerous left winger like Salah. But they keep Salah so high up the pitch that it's nearly impossible to shield him with a DM.
