On the bright side Nwaneri already looks like a bit of a good luck charm in these home games, whole stadium lifted when he was introduced.

Jesus was on for two minutes, his parried shot leads to another goal, yet the knives are all out for him. Tells you how deep agendas can run.

If you rewatch the play, there were two defenders on him who blocked off the side pass to Havertz, not to mention that going for a goal wasn't a bad choice at all.

Poor match from Havertz but I think should get the same benefit of doubt that Martinelli and Saka are afforded. He does far too much running and defending for a number 9. Seems impressive but has an impact for sure.

Nwaneri looks the part once again. He needs to be the first sub up, especially with the lack of drive from midfield. His confidence and skill are great in the dying part of a game.

Gazza M potentially. at the moment it's not looking great, but i do want to give it a few months. Partey has been healthy for 6 months now and he is looking in great form, and even that's taken til this season to achieve. So even if fit, I wouldn't be surprised if he took another 2 months to get into shape. I like him as an option.

That said, Havertz gives us unique size and strength that Jesus and Trossard can't replicate in the box.

Gazza M him and his boy Zinchenko. Both almost men. Striker who can’t score and whose hold up play is mid , defender who can’t defend and whose attacking impact is similarly mid. Smdh.

Next on my list is Ben White, sorry guys. Timber will own the spot. Then Martinelli. If we are able to successfully bench these individuals our squad becomes officially world class, and the team has gone up another level.

We don't need Trossard to replice that. Hell we don't need Trossard to even play up top. As long as we keep Haverts up front and away from midfield, and we have Trossard playing the 8 role we'll have that mixture of being able to make the ball stick and having players around Havertz to clean up off his scraps. Worked for us during that spell earlier this year, and would be my first point of call if we're missing Odegaard. Trossard is too slow to play wide from the start and having him in that 8/10 role off Havertz works. Let's keep that going until Odegaard is back then Trossard can shift back to the wing and alternate with Martinelli.
