RocktheCasbah Always remember getting some gelato by the Vatican and watching this guy ride past on his moped, pristine in his business suit and sunglasses, gelato in hand. I don't know if I've conveyed it accurately enough here, but it was the most Italian thing I've ever seen.
I was actually on the receiving end of something like that last time I was there for work. After a day full of meetings the late afternoon was free so I decided to walk all over the city, see thr sights and get some nice photos. I was minding my own business taking pictures when some dude came off the street to ask me if he could take a photo with me. Yes, WITH me. I was confused as fuck but said ok. Then it happened again some time later. When I asked why, the second guy said he thought I was a footballer or a rapper or something brcause of how I was dressed. Mind you I was in a full business suit ( tie and everything) at the time. 😂😂😂
Aside from that was a great day out. Took a good few hours but saw the Spanish Steps, Colosseum, the Roman Forum and all these other lovely places I wouldn't remember the names of. My feet were killing me though. You do not want to be walking around in Oxford's for long in Rome where the roads and pavements are made using the old bricks which have all these small gaps between. You end up feeling every crack under yoir feet.
