BT sport covering is a great example of MSM bias. They initially were talking about a red for Veltman, but ‘in hindsight’ supported the referees decision. You saw them talk themselves into changing the narrative live on TV after the fact.

On top of that it wasn't even from the correct position which would make it a wrong restart, not to mention the fact that there was no one where he supposedly wanted to take it quickly to.

You know what's even worse, that I only just realised after watching it again? The ball is in all likelihood already in play when Rice touched. Take a closer look. Veltman fell over on the ball which made it stationary. He then kicked it onto Rice's heels which effectively restarted play. If we want arguments about the the letter of the law, then the ball is actually in play meaning Rice nicked the ball before he was kicked. Fuck these bent refs.

This is actually another side of this that no one mentions. The whistle was clearly blown, and Veltman kicks the ball forward into Rice. By the 'letter of the law', this is already a restart. And if you want to look at the second mistake, the ball was still moving when Veltman went to kick it as Rice tapped it. Both of those things preceded Rice's 'touch' on the ball, and should have negated Rice's yellow. Which, in turn, makes Veltman's kick on Rice even more of a card (yellow at least).

All good valid points which the FA clearly don't give a monkeys about, they're just piling in and doubling down to back up their corrupt bs, moreso as we're the ones being punished.
