Clrnc well, you and I can argue the toss all day about this, you've got Ben on your side but there are a lot of people who saw the goal and think it was legit.
The problem we've got really is that VAR has been introduced to iron out howlers, but all it's done is add another layer of subjectivity to a sport where referees will naturally interpret incidents (and indeed laws) differently on a game to game basis.
And VAR's very existence multiplies that effect and therefore, our discomfort with it. And that's part of the reason we're having this conversation now. I don't think we'll ever resolve it, unfortunately.
