Coombs Out of curiosity, why? I think it's one of the better idioms to establish itself in the internet age. Saw the play as a teenager and it really made an impact.

I don't really have a particular reason I just find it annoying...

Seen Jacob Steinberg said accusations of him being over harsh on Mainoo were anti-Semitic and that he's a proud Zionist. Lead to people digging up some disgusting comments from him on social media from before he was at the Guardian.

FEBravo I enjoyed the paradox of it, never mind its limited appeal to the OMITT bleachers ๐Ÿ˜†

beautiful. i absolute love that rationale. i can be as racist as i want to be because i'm jewish and any criticism of me as a jew is anti-semitic ... even though technically i'm not an actual semite.

Burnwinter JazzG You're crazy, Jazz. Gaslighting is a perfectly useful word, your reaction is irrational.

Now just hang on a damn minute, I will not let you Gas.........oh!

Zirkzee and Frenkie de Jong out of the Euro, big hit for them. Maatsen called up instead
and now Koopmeiners is ruled out as well. Jesus

Lewandowski is out against the Netherlands and a doubt against Austria now

I got 47, but I'm claiming 49 (49 undefeated...) as for some reason, typing Laurent and Kos did not bring up Laurent Koscielny for me.

Completely forgot Niall Quinn - couldn't understand why David O'Leary wasn't doing the biz there and I think it says much about our goalkeeper recruitment of late that the names of both Cech and Leno escaped me!

RocktheCasbah Quinn was the first one I got lol. He's on my mind as he played in a team golf competition against my Dad at the weekend. Unfortunately he was in the group behind him and not out with him.

I forgot loads. Missed 8, mostly really obvious ones like Leno, Overmars, Seaman, etc The only one where I said "really?" was Ox. Totally forgot he played for England.

Was surprised Ozil, Podolski and a few others never played the Euros

Qwiss The only one where I said "really?" was Ox. Totally forgot he played for England.

Hahahaha, I know what you mean, I threw him in as a punt and had the same reaction as you when he came up. The 2012 Euros I think were my absolute nadir as an englishman, I had no interest in England at that tournament at all and was glad when Pirlo panenkaed us out of it.

Big Dave is part of my favourite two minutes of Euro football ever, but obviously that penalty save (leading to the Gazza goal) would have hit different for me.

No Santi at the Euros either - I know that Spain midfield was pretty incomparable, but... wow.

RocktheCasbah Santi played at Euro 2008, but was not an Arsenal player then(he was not a starter, but played all the games bar the semi final, got 25 minutes in the final). He missed the world cup as he was injured, but again played at euro 2012(way less) but again was not an Arsenal player, he signed right after.
